We're BAAAACCCCKKKK........

It's Spring, well almost!  So I would love to issue you a challenge.  This one will be a scrapping challenge!  It will go until the end of May.

Create one layout, quick, easy, small, large?  Just one layout a week from now until May 31st.  Don't buy anything new for the layouts unless of course you need adhesive, because without glue it's just a pile of paper, pretty as it may be.

It's simple there are no other rules for this challenge it's wide open!  When the end of May comes we will have 11 completed layouts which for me will be about as many as I've done in the last 2 years.   Woo Hoo!  Also we can share our creations at the beginning of June and applaud each others accomplishments!

Happy Scrapping!

November Stash Scrapping - Should we continue????

STASH Scrapping!  November

I have added the points page at the top of the blog.  Be sure to update your scores for October.  I will add November this week.

OK so this is the deal we need to scrap more, we want to scrap more, and to use up some of our stuff to make room for new we HAVE to scrap more.  Cards just ain't cutting it.  So I propose we each make a Scrapping Kit similar to a Kit Club for each Month.  (ie. Start now for July's first crop.)   Using nothing but our STASH.  Meaning no purchasing new product for this challenge.   We will share our Stash Kits the first Wednesday.  Then we will share our progress with the group, here, on your own blog or even in person at the crops.  I will create a Tally Board.  For Layouts you will get 5 points per page, 3 points for a Project Life Page,  for cards you will get 1 point for Mini Ablums/Altered items you will get 10 pts.  And if you finish up your stash for the month you will get a bonus 25 pts.  We will do this for 5 months and in November I will issue prizes for the participants.  To participate just leave a comment on this post and share your first monthly kit with us either in person or online.

Your kit should contain the following:

Patterned Papers - 10-12 (12x12 sheets)
Specialty Paper - 1-2 sheets (ie. vellum, die cut, mirror, metal etc.)
Cardstock - 6-8 (12x12 sheets)
Alphabet Stickers, Sheets or Chipboard - 1 full set or 2 partial sets
Other Stickers - 1 full or  2 partial sheets
Paper Embellishments - 6
Dimensional Embellishments - 10 - 15
Ribbons or Fibers -  3 yards
Felt
Sketches - 3
Photos - 10-15

Any tools, stamps, paint, ink, glitter etc.etc.etc. you choose to use on or in your kit do not have to be used completely to earn the 25 points they are just there to help you.  Obviously you will get more points for more difficult projects.  You can always add more cardstock and consumables but the above list must be used in order to earn the 25 pts.   If you ou are not a scrapper and do not have photos you can trade that entire item for 10-15 stamped images you have to either have 10-15 stamped images or 10-15 photos not a combination of both.  Also I'm not counting smaller scraps we can discuss that on Wednesday.

Some Links if your just starting with us to get you inspired.

Ok, That should get you started feel free to share more links and more ideas here on the blog either in comments or at the bottom of this post.

Stash Kit Example -----

This is an example of a Stash Kit.  This was my July kit.  I can take this with me to the 2 crops I go to a month and always have something to work on.  As well if on our Wed. crop night I am in need of something to do I can pull out the Stash Kit Box and work on these items.

I love this from of Scrapbooking.  It makes me want to use my old papers and scrap my old(not so great always) pictures.  It's time I started getting some layouts done.  I finished 5 pages last month which for me is more than I finished all of last year.  This month I have at least 6 planned along with my 16 swap card and any others I need.

I hope you join us in the Stash Scrap Challenge.  If you do just leave me a note and I will add you to the points page.

Challenge #3 Final Challenge for June

The last scrapping day of June is upon us and that means summer is 1/3 over.  OMG already?  EEEK.

Ok for this weeks challenge we will really get into SUMMER  since it officially began last  week.  HA

Here is an image from A Diamond in the Stuff a creative blog.  Love the images here they are very inspiring and just what we need.  Love the banner, the yellow frame, the camera, the ball jar, the yellow and blue and beachy white..  Totally reminds me of the new Dear Lizzy stamps and papers.  So why not create a tag, card or layout inspired by Summer?

Happy Scrapping see you Tomorrow.

Challenge #2

Just to keep things interesting and maybe get a head start on the Holidays lets do a Christmas Challenge this week.

Here is an image from the blog ALLSORTS one of my all time favorites.  Mostly because of the colors and adorable images.  How could you resist?   I thought since some of us already have the reds and blues out for the upcoming patriotic holiday this was perfect.  Again you can choose to be inspired in any way by this gorgeous photo.  Colors, items, the way their lined up, felt, the little banner or even just the red gingham(Dianne).  You get the idea.  For this you can make any type of item you like.

Happy Scrapping See You Tomorrow!

The layout here is by Kinsey @ Studio Calico(love their gallery/inspiration/designers).  I especially love the colors, photos and the grid on this layout.  My challenge to you is to take your inspiration from here.

Productive Day Part III

Here's the rest of what I did today!!

Productive Day Part II

I'm doing this in parts as all these pictures won't fit in one post. All of these layouts were done today. I really feel a sense of accomplishment!!

Productive Day Part I

I spent most of the day in the basement scrap booking. It's the coolest place to be since it was over 100 with the heat index today. These are the cards I've made over the past month. The first one was a birthday card for my great niece Ariana. The 2nd one was a birthday card for my father-in-law. The 3rd one was a card for my granddaughter McKenzie wishing her a great summer filled with lots of ice cream. And, the last one was another card for McKenzie saying that I hoped they were all settled in their new home.

Time For Holiday Cardmaking

We are Scrapping this Wednesday and it's the perfect timeto get busy on those Holiday cards.  This Challenge will run for 2 weeks since the following Wed. we will not be scrapping so 2 weeks to cover 2 holidays isn't to bad.  I hope!

Then Directly following we have Mother's Day.  So while your on a roll with you cardmaking why not create a few Mother's day cards to send to Mom's, Grandma's, Sisters, Family & Friends.
